Kazuha's name in the english manga is the same, so I'd assume it would be the same in the anime too. But anyway this sucks! I don't care if not many people would buy it. I would. So if any body that works for the company that was going to bring a CC game here is reading this, PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAASE do bring the game here!!!!!!!

^The English manga also calls him "Kaitou" instead of "The Phantom Thief Kid." Plus they leave any direct references to the Japanese language & leave the guest characters (victim, suspects, etc.) intact.

1.) I heard the dub is going to call Kazuha Toyama Katie Thompson.

2.) As for why DC/CC didn't take off in the USA, I think that has something to do with the fact that, in Japan it's a family series, like TV Y7 or in that ballpark. FUNimation then dubbed it as such, a Japanese TV Y7 in English, however the blood, violence, and language earned it, TV PG to TV 14. Factor in it's an anime, we now narrowed down the list of channels that will play it and the time slots they can play it to a very small number, like 3 or 4 (CN and a station FUNimation is affiliated with, forgot the name, are the ones I know). They may air the new episodes on the channel, but I'm not sure, and the series flopped on CN, mostly because the only plausible time slot for it was viewed primarily by ignorant adults who only laugh at guys who get hit in the groin and related comedy that requires no thought.

In this game, Kazuha's name is actually Katrina Tolliver...

I also believe that the reason why Detective Conan is not successful in America is due to the change in the target audience to an older age group instead of for kids and family. I was really hoping that Funimation would be able to make Conan successful since they were able to get so many viewers for DBZ and even DB and DBGT.

Yeah, that was the other name in the rumors, but Katie Thompson has been the one I hear more frequently online, that's assuming there weren't any real sites below all the porn sites the google search turned up.

last week i visited Wikipedia.com to check if this game was coming to America and it said Q4 which mean it will be in america by Oct-Dec.

I hate that they cancelled the series in America, and my niece(4yrs) was cring for a week knowing she wont see Jimmy or Conan again. Wat a week that was.

If it got cancelled in america, its because they banned the series as far i know and my friends think so too.

...Meh. If they're gonna change her name no matter what, I guess we could do a lot worse.

Technically, it hasn't been cancelled in America, they're just not airing the episodes on TV. They still make the manga, they still dub the episodes and movies, they still sell the DVDs.

But still, I would like to see the series on TV, so I guess we either destroy the FCC or find a channel that won't have any problems airing it or have CN's low ratings problem.

And now for two serious questions. I have been all over the internet, and I have to say, the USA fandom of DC/CC is huge. Yet CN claimed they sold the episodes back to FUNimation due to low ratings. Now, I understand that after going from DC to CC, the series does lose a little something, but even if there are fans who view that as a reason to not watch (which I don't understand, but won't deny is possible), the drop shouldn't be that dramatic.

1.) Did CN just BS a reason to sell back the episodes so they could descend their Adult Swim line-up to gutter humor? Or did people really not watch the dub, be time frame or the lose of something?

2.) Considering they got Yu Yu Hakusho, all the Japanese Dragonballs (Korea made some after GT), and Kenshin, was there really some reason beyond "imitatable actions" CC wasn't aired on Toonami? Because if there wasn't, then the whole purpose of the Toonami time slot was defeated with that decision.
