GTA4: Now if you shoot a civilian during a mission your are automatically met with a game over screen no more pesky running from the police.

Tekken: Tired of feeling the brute force of your best friend's juggle combo well then hope for a judge to ban them completely.

FFXII: Remember how it had an uber long list of spells you just could not find a use for well now that most of your of your favorite spells and abilities are against the law you have to use them!

Halo 3: How about those the pesky sniper campers now you just hope to hell when you start a match that their play style will get them banned or justhope that the judge will ban gun fire as a whole then your in for some real fun.

Can you think of any other games that would benefit from this system? Cause for me the list just keeps going...

The law system is barely an extra challenge and still there's people whining about it.

...

If you don't like it, get out of this board.

Pokemon: Let's ban certain overpowered pokemon from competitive play so everyone just doesn't use the same 10 pokemon or so all the time! Also, let's ban evasion enhancing and one hit KO moves so that the game can retain some tactics and not just turn into a game of whoever gets lucky!

OH GOD THAT WOULD SUCK SO BAD

What next? Taking a game of checkers and only allowing certain pieces to move in certain ways!? Insane!

law systems are for noobs that dont know how to play. so these noob justify the law system so they can work the game to their advantage.

"law systems are for noobs that dont know how to play. so these noob justify the law system so they can work the game to their advantage. "

How do you figure?

Like pokemon's law/rule list for example. Prevents noobs from taking a pokemon with signifigantly higher base stats, giving a poke double team so they can never be hit, or something like horn drill where the line "screw learning the in's and out's of types and weaknesses, prediction utilizing immunities and skill. I want to kill in one hit" comes into exsistance. And as such the game now requires skill and knowledge in order to compete with others savvy in the competitive ways as well.

If you actually have any reasoning behind what you said please let me know.. becasue rules are there to prevent an advantage being taken. Imagine playing monopoly without rules.. "Okay I start with one hundred thousand dollars, you can have one.. and no properties and I get your 'GO!' money too!"

Wrong. The one's who don't know how to play are the ones who don't use a large, varied party and law nullifying cards. They instead complain how laws "r teh suk."

so these noob justify the law system so they can work the game to their advantage.

That would be called tactics. You know, similar to the word in the title of the game.

Pokemon contains a metagame environment where humans battle humans in a strategic manner.

FFT:A is a human vs. CPU strategy game where there are no baton passed double team x 6 garchomps in sandstorm.

Shut the hell up and use your brain for a second before wildly comparing a metagame whose rules were created for the ultimate enjoyment of player versus player combat to a handheld strategy game with no PVP capabilities.

^^ maybe instead of us shutting the hell up you should calm down; it's just opinion, and it's just a game. Unless this game is your life, in which case I'm terribly sorry.

Lawdy lawdy, folks, I just told some people to shut the hell up on an internet message board. I guess that makes me forty years old and so angry that I kick my cat everytime it begs for me to provide sustenance to its malnourished body.

Which I inflict upon it because I'm so angry. Grrr!

Oh no, the exclamation marks! They are indicative of his anger, which has reached seethingly high levels! Evacuate the area!

On topic: Good job not dealing with any of the points I presented. The law system is stupid and the most ridiculous "adaptation" (Read: limitation) to any strategy game I've ever seen.
