Jim Thompson, an American spy during the Second World War, moved to Thailand after the war and started up a silk production and export company. In March of 1967, he never returned from a walk on the Malaysian mountains. Despite a manhunt, no trace was found of the man. His past involvement in espionage suggests he was kidnapped. As a result of this intriguing disappearance, his house in Bangkok has become a tourist attraction.
