as you noticed there is no all the above option. i did that for a reason. i want to know what is the 1 or 2 things you value in a ff game the most.

for me i like story and gameplay. i can live with one or the other but not both being bad. thats the meat and potato's for me in a game. music and graphics can be good even if a game is not. ( i.e. 3rd birthday come to mind. a game with good graphics and music but that i cant stand the story or gameplay of)
currently in ky. enroute to wi
games im waiting on: tales of vespiria, kh3, re2remake, trails of cold steel 3

Music and gameplay in FF are important to me, followed by story. Graphics I don’t mind as long as they are fully polished, whether it’s 16-bit or realistic 3D, or anywhere in between. I would say all four are equally important.

No more half baked travesties or fetish monuments. Failed directors TaBETA and Toriyama should stay far away...

colorful pretty environs..

Not just bland dirt, trees, and gas stations like FF XV had.
Currently living on Haru's forehead from P5 and I have a huge 20 acre backyard.

Story, as in any RPG. It's what sets the genre apart.
I swim through a sea of stars. . . .

Beating dead and unfunny schticks, I see...

The older I get, the more I’m realizing it’s all about gameplay for me. This is why I’m drawn to the job-based games (V, X-2, XII:TZA) or ones with unique character abilities (IV, VI, IX). And in a broader sense it’s why I’m turned off by the games which lack those things and also have poor jrpg elements such as inventory management and exploration (VII, X, XIII), as coming from a Dragon Quest background those are important parts of the gameplay itself.
Playing: FF6FCC - Cyan, Shadow, Relm, Umaro; DQVI - Scrimsley; Rock Band 4 - Expert Guitar lvl 44, 837/1899 played, 719 5+ stars
Up next: DQVII

Music and gameplay I suppose. To the point dialogue is fairly important in rpgs in general to me as well.
