Then you realize several affixes are unblockable.

Isn't like every DoT unblockable or something in this game? So a good chunk of Elite affixes.

Devastation (Fire) Pits
Acid (Poison) Pits
Lightning Balls
Frozen Balls that explode
Vortex
Wormhole
Frozen Stars that unleashes periodic frost novas
Reflect Damage

You can dodge the explosions on elites that have the Molten affix. I know that.

Dodge can also avoid Frozen.

So dodge is totally better than block (not only avoids all damage, but more affixes are dodgeable than blockable)? I would think there would be more blockable affixes, to balance it for having reduced damage taken instead of no damage taken.

No. Damage mitigation > dodge.

Also you can block electrified/flame chains, not to mention the utility/damage Crusader can gain, and the utility from Legendary affixes.

No. Damage mitigation > dodge.

Are you 100% sure that electrified is blockable? Cause thats the affix that gives me the most trouble, so if its true, I'll focus my crusader right away :p
