Well maybe not, but the impression some of you give to the rest of the world is not very positive. Just how many mass shootings does it take for some of you idiots to realise things have to change? Its time to put personal agendas aside and the ridiculous fixation that americans have with guns.

Ban guns, it should be an easy decision to make. Without guns a lot of violence would stop. Guns make it too easy to take revenge on the people who hurt you. Games cause no killing, guns cause 90%. The only thing a gun is good for is killing. That is it's only purpose, and nobody needs a gun for anything other than killing.The NRA seems to be full of a bunch of morons who just want to kill things, instead of doing something constructive.

Do these things:
1) Look at countries where citizens aren't allowed to be in possession of firearms.
2) Look at their gun violence statistics.
3) TRY to argue that a gun ban wouldn't reduce gun violence.

America has the most gun freedom of any country.

Mexico has a total gun ban on citizens.
It is virtually impossible to get a gun permit in Brazil.
Colombia is more or less stricter than NY city.
Indonesia is strict gun control.
Russia can only have smooth-bore firearms initially.
Venezuela, no private gun ownership.
South Africa, 2 year wait for permit processing.
More or less same for Congo and Ethiopia.

All the countries combined have roughly twice the US population. They total 173,000 gun murders vs Americas 12,000. Even if you double Americas murder rate to match their doubled population, you still get 173,000 vs 24,000.

How about the UK? Worse violent crime rate than the US, less gun rights.

Why are you comparing the US to third world countries and war zones? I think Canada, Australia and the UK would be more apt comparisons. They are rich white countries that share the same culture origins.

Guns. Games aren't used to kill people.

If you think guns are needed for hunting. Watch some videos of African tribes or the aborigines. I still can't believe the accuracy the aborigines have with a boomerang

Hebephrenic, catatonic, and paranoid? Psychology was my minor and it's been a while, but I know someone who is schizophrenic and it's interesting to say the least. My friend hears voices and sees things that aren't there, but I've never seen any of what I'd call psychotic or dangerous behaviors. When you know someone with something, you also tend to look stuff up.

Well yeah, you're right. I feel that exact way about our health care system. We're the only industrialized country in the world that doesn't use the socialized health care system; and consequently, we're the only country in the world with people who have to file bankruptcy because they can't pay their medical bills. To me, that seems like a straight-line, A to B, scenario.

The gun issue is a little tougher to deal with than that, but I think that has more to do with the psychological mindset of America as a whole. We tend to worship violence and death to a degree, and just flat eliminating guns, or games, or violent media, or even stuff like football, won't automatically solve the problem. Something has to change in the soul of America itself for progress to be made.
