Active as in...

Games that are still able to be played online? The vast majority of them.

Games that still have a sizable player base? You'll have to get anecdotal information from people on this board, or start up the game and see for yourself. Major Nelson stopped publishing lists of the top ten most active games nearly a decade ago.

I've been playing Happy Wars. 360 support ends in December. Continues on Xbox One.

Most games have a small populace unless the official servers are already down.

It's figuring out the times that's the issue.

Most CoD and Halos can get a game at most hours.

Frontlines Fuel of War still have an active player base. THQ Nordic brought the servers back when it became back compatible on Xbox One last year.

Many other games can also be played online. It just might be hard to find someone to play with.

Frontlines' ranked servers were shut down years ago, but it's still been possible to play unranked matches since then. None of that changed when the game went backwards compatible.

The servers was closed in 2011 but it seems that it is playable again on the 360 and Xbox One. It is still closed on PC. PC gamers can only play the campaign.
