I haven't found much about the GBA version online as it was only released in Japan. So I'm just putting this out there for anyone that wants to buy the GBA version. Each time you beat 8-4 whether by warping or not, a star appears on the title screen. The stars do save after turning off the game. Apparently when you get 8 stars on the title screen you can access special Worlds A-D as in the original FDS version.

Needless to say my goal is to beat this 8 times to play the special worlds. My other goal is to reach World 9 which is accessed by beating 8-4 without warping.

On a good day this game puts me in a zen mindset. I'm loving finally playing this with the original graphics. Happy gaming.
Death to Videodrome. Long Live the New Flesh.
