For some reason, Beyond the Grave reminds me of Alucard from Hellsing. Does anyone else notice similarities?

I always thought of Grave as an older more mature cousin to Dante from Devil May Cry. No smart-ass remarks, no sword, less flashy moves; just good old fashioned ass-whoppings handed out courtesy of his coffin and Cerberus pistols. Alucard talks more and drinks blood and is nearly godly but still bad ass. I think the familiarity lies in their bad ass tendencies.

Actually, you know what? Grave is slightly similar to three characters in my opinion: Vash, Dante, and Alucard. But it's probably just superficial similarities due to their appearances.
The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed... Celebrate life's grandeur... its brilliance... its magnificence...

I saw more Nicholas in Grave than Vash. Vash is a pacifist at heart, Nicholas isn't. I have always wanted to see Grave and Dante get into a fight. The planet would be in ruins, when they get done.

Yeah, that would be an awesome fight.
I found Jesus. Turns out he was hiding behind the couch the entire time.

I found Grave similar to Vincent Valentine.

-was a bodyguard/hitman for a megacorp/syndicate
-fell in love with a woman that he couldn't have
-said woman shacks up with an uglier, older guy
-dies and gets put through gruesome experiments to be turned into Person of Mass Destruction
-comes back with a revenge/redemption complex
-quiet and introspective, often misunderstood but deep down is a fairly serene person

In the anime Grave looks like a cross between Dante and Legato Bluesommers.

I'm confused. Are we comparing looks, personality, or both? In the looks department he reminds me of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, Django from the movie Django, and the book, the Gungrave Archives, says there is a lot of Antonio Banderas from Desperado in Grave. Personality wise, he reminds me of a Terminator strangely enough. I don't know who Vincent Valentine is. Could someone go into more detail about him.
