Just buy the original brand ps1 cards. They aren't expensive on Amazon.

Memory card corruption is rare. Usually only happens if you turn the game off while it's saving. However never use "Mega Memory Cards" that look like this:

Those have a very high chance of corruption because they use compression to save more data than they're supposed to.


Oh man, I bought the top one around the first Christmas I got my PS1, and it worked great until I used it on my cousin's ps2 and it went kaput.
