What's your favorite OST from this year?

The great OSTs are becoming more plentiful now so let me know if you want an external poll with more choices instead. Also let me know if there's interest in a GB poll series.

Consider creativity, sound chip limitations and technical achievement, composition (melody or hook, progression, complexity), dynamics (range between quiet and loud, soft/diminuendo and hard/crescendo), pitch range, instrument and instrument envelope variety and quality, and so on. We're going by original release dates.

Try to say something about your favorite(s), it's more fun to read!

Lots of great entries in this one. Was very hard to choose but I ultimately went with RCR. I expect Akumajou Densetsu to take this one handily but personally I think it's a tad overrated.

Some great ones in there, but Castlevania 3 easily tops the cake for me

Yeah I do think it's a bit repetitive at times, like one of the themes has a re-ocurring part in other tracks. But it sounds great and a handful of tracks are as well.

Mother/EBB has gained a lot of popularity in the west more recently. Maybe it's because some themes also appear in M2 though.
