8 years. I tried not to go the digital route before that, but I tapped out when physical games started coming with just Steam codes in them.

December 24th 2004, I was a stickler and refused to use Steam because I enjoyed WON for some reason when I was younger. Got HL2 bronze edition for Xmas and spent 10 bucks to upgrad to Silver edition via Steam, this was probably one of the best 10 dollars I've ever spent on Steam as it upgraded my 'just HL2' bronze edition into like, basically every valve game ever made and some that weren't even released yet and accounts for thousands of hours of playtime.

12 on this account. My original account was transferred over from WON back in the day, but I ended up giving it to my friend.

The number displayed on the years of service badge. Not your steam level. Steam level has nothing to do with the age of your account.

13 years with my account. I consider myself as a late regular user in 2008. Also had slow 1mbps dsl internet.
I did get a taste with it in 2005 with my cousins account and played the original Team Fortress.

But I didn't make an account as I didn't have a credit card then, so there was no way for me to buy a game.
