My 3570K at 4.2 Ghz throttles at 4K 60p youtube videos. Way too many framedrops I've experience. I know youtube has horribile optimization for watching videos at any resolution, but damm it sucks that I can't watch 4K 60p smoothly at all. How good of a CPU would need to stream at the highest resolution possible at the fatest fps?

I dunno, but I can play them just fine.

Edit: GPU seems to chug along at around 75% utilization and overall CPU (didn't look at individual cores) use like 4-6%.
2nd edit: Watching a while, average ghz might've been 3.5-4.5 on 8k vids but it swung up and down quite wildly overall.

Here with a I7-6800k 4.2GHz and GTX 1070, seems to do 8k fine thoug the GPU is working pretty hard considering it's a video.

Am I missing something? I've never seen the option to watch anything anywhere go past 1080p.

Search YT for 8k video

Edit: although it seems a bit odd if you've never seen at least 1440 option on the occasional YT video already. dunno.

Eh, not even gonna try if that's a vague possibility. Only got a 1440p monitor anyway...
