Topic says it all. Mention games that were ported right on PC.

Sonic CD is a great port of a console game. Not only does it address the physics issues but it also fixes major issues with the original such as the loading times etc.

Most of them, actually. Not ALL, mind you. Most.
Guess what classic game this is and I'll give you... a virtual handshake:

Some noteworthy examples:

-Bayonetta. It came a bit late, but not only there's nothing wrong with the port, the PC version is the best looking one, and the one that runs smoother. Catherine is also a decent port. Even if it's locked at 30 FPS, like the console versions, the PC version STILL looks oddly smoother. It's not an IDEAL port, but it's pretty faithful.

-Resident Evil 4 (the second port, not the horrible Ubisoft one). Looks great, runs great and, most importantly, you can use the mouse to aim. That, to me, made the game a lot more comfortable to play. In fact, most Resident Evil games are great ports.

-Monster Hunter: World. Again, best looking version, and runs the best. And works great with a controller, but the mouse and keyboard controls aren't BAD either.

I recall Battle Engine Aquila was a pretty decent port. Very playable with keyboard.
Batman: Arkham Asylum as well seems good.
Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning

if you wanna be ironic then "faithful" ports are supposed to match the originals.

ie. if sonic CD would have been a faithful port, it would have kept the physics issues and long loading times.

the term "arcade perfect" from way back when meant games that were ported to console with the standards of the original arcade game. so console "perfect"(faithful) ports would mean the same standards as on the original console.

And when that happens, or if the PC version is only a little better, the game gets well known as a s*** port.
