  3. Is it worth getting replacing my SSD with a NVMe M.2 2280 ?

I upgrade a few weeks ago to a new z390 build. I'm still using my Samsung 850 EVO 1TB that I bought in 2017 and it's still working great. I was thinking maybe I should get one of those fancy SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB for only $250. By the way don't suggest anything smaller then a TB.

I'm asking cause I got some money to burn. But I still don't want to throw away good tech. So I'm asking is it really worth it for gaming cause that's all I use my PC for ? My PC already boots up very fast. Will games in general load noticeable faster ? will the PC feel even more snappy and will I be able to tell the difference that much ?

I didn't notice much of a difference with my cad machine, I doubt someone playing video games would notice.

Okay thanks, yeah I'm only interested if there was some real world difference where you could really tell a difference.

If you can afford it, yes, why wouldn't you?

There's hardly any difference in loading times. It's convenient to plug it into the MOBO and have an extra TB of space though, so why not? Just turn the old SSD into a storage drive.
