The 1080P 240hz monitor is 24 inches and the 4k 60hz TV is 48 inches. If I'm playing single player games, should I be looking for greater resolution and a solid 60? or should I just go for frames? I have a 1080ti and i7-7700k and I haven't really taken advantage of gaming on my PC yet, just Overwatch now and then with friends.

Well 4k is less on your CPU.

That's really a question for you to decide.

Some people care about frame rate, others care more about resolution. I'm personally still on 1080p 60hz monitors and televisions, so you can see how much I care.

I’d say a 1440p, 144hz, 27 inch monitor if you plan on having it on your desk. You don’t need a 65 inch TV two feet away from your face.

If you’re planning on always sitting on the couch and your PC is connected to your TV, sure, then go for a big 4K TV.

Use this based on how far away the screen will be:

Also another consideration is HDR a decent TV will destroy any HDR monitor..... it’s a drastic difference in some games like Gears of War 4.

Depends what games you play and what you value.
Do you want smoother than 60fps performance, or do you want crisper than 1080p visuals?

Those are currently the 2 ways I display my games. Both I are within vicinity of my PC so distance isn't an issue. The TV is for my consoles. I'm wondering what y'all prefer. Resolution or 60+ frames?

I prefer framerate over resolution, but I went with 1440p+high refresh to get the best of both.

Unless you're playing lots of generic-military-shooter X, 4K is the way to go.

That's providing you don't always buy the entry 1060/2060) or mid tier (1080/2070/2080) GPUs.
