Is it, like, offensive to ask for a copy of your build? Although iirc the last time I thought about building a PC I looked into how you can buy parts and the prices often had some variance, so I'm just looking for a ballpark.

Anyways I'm wondering if there's a build I can copy so I can focus my energies on finding/ordering the parts and putting the thing together, since that'll probably be hard enough for my dumb/lazy bum.

All I'll be using it for is gaming so you can warn me if yours is more flexible and maybe I'll be able to figure out where to cut costs. Thanks for any suggestions

You can get a very good PC for that budget. But you need to be a little patient for deals. Just check https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/ often. Like for instance, there's a 10% off ebay coupon code right now.

9700k $350-$400
HSF $40
RTX2070 $450-500
16GB DDR4 $90-130
z390 $100-$200
Case $100
PSU $60-$100

I'll just leave this here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WvzZKB

Leaves about $100 for whatever case you want. If you want to overclock the CPU, add $25-40 for a better air cooler over stock.

You can probably get a 2600x for around that price if you lurk /r/buildapcsales some.

probably sure you can do better than that ssd too.

We also unsure if TC has a monitor + cable. KB/mouse can be had cheaply for 15-20 until he can find a good deal on a mechanical kb/gaming mouse he likes.

It's not the best time to be building a computer - TC missed the good deals 3 weeks ago. That's the best bang for buck I could see with current prices. Maybe some stuff will go on sale before the end of the year.

Ah so is black Friday a good time for pc part deals? I'll probably just wait another year, and go into it with a better plan

Thanks for the stuff guys, except the joke I guess 😅
