8gb ram

Intel Pentium g3220

GeForce 1030 (upgrading to GTX 1050ti early next year. Just needed a card to get me started and I had no money left <_<) The default card is the GT710 so I'll replace that with the 1030 when it arrives

27inch monitor

Windows 10

This only costed me €220 in total (for the monitor, mouse, graphics card, the tower etc) soooo I'm pretty happy. Just need to wait for it to arrive. I'm going to have to try and put.in the graphics card myself (I have never done this before...I hope i don't destroy the thing)

The motherboard manual is your friend. Most manuals explain exactly how things go together with that particular motherboard. But it's always good to see some build videos. Just...don't watch The Verge's video. Hoo boy.

you will do fine!

honestly i wouldnt have bought the 1030/1050ti though, i would have just saved the money and used the 710 until i could afford a 1060 atleast.

(in hindsight i mean, i have a 1050ti i bought two years ago, and i really really wish i had bought a 60 or 70)

Fun fact, no you don't randomly get a s*** GPU for free when you buy parts for your PC.

I wish I could, then I would sell it in a heartbeat to add money to my 2070ti fund

Eh, I don't know how match the upgrade to the 1060 matters. He is going to get bottle necked by his cpu for practically any non indie game made post 2014 anyways since you want at least 4 cores for most modern games. I just don't know why he did not go for the 1050 ti to start. I feel like the the 1030 is pretty useless and the 1050 ti is only $75 (plus tax) more. $75 more for 100% performance increase over the 1030 is super value. If it means saving for a little while longer it would be worth it.
