Yeah, sorry, just don't care.

If you don't want your kid exposed to loot boxes then be a f***ing parent and stop letting your kid play this s***. If you really need to regulate stick a "gambling" disclaimer on the game and make the salesmen announce it to the customer prior to purchase, restrict purchasing to 18+.

But lets be honest here, for most of you this has nothing to do with gambling. This is about video game addicts strong arming companies into making the games they want because they themselves are so addicted that they couldn't accept that they weren't getting the star wars game they wanted.

Grow the f*** up, these companies only exist to make money. If they didn't make money they wouldn't be making the games in the first place. If companies were profiting then gaming would be stuck in the past because they wouldn't be investing in the tech to make it better than their competitors.

You are right, corporations clearly need private jets. Get your head out of your own sphincter you apologist dimwit.

"Need" is irrelevant, though if you really want to play that card I'm sure they can send someone to your next performance evaluation and offer insight on what you "need" in terms of pay. The fact of the matter is they're legally obligated to attempt to provide a return on investment to their shareholders and while they could lower their prices and get by, they don't owe you s***.

Loot boxes are a freaking cancer on the gaming world. I hope enough countries that actually matter ban them so that game companies are forced to stop using them.

The fact of the matter is that this is absolutely false. It's plainly obvious to anyone who has ever looked at a stock chart that corporations could not function if this was literally true.

Relevant SCOTUS case:
https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-supreme-court/13-354.html
While it is certainly true that a central objective of for-profit corporations is to make money, modern corporate law does not require for-profit corporations to pursue profit at the expense of everything else, and many do not do so.

They are, however, legally obligated to pay taxes.

Read both our statements till you comprehend the difference in meaning. Then, when enlightenment dawns, go find a nice tree to argue with because it's not worth my time today. Oh and you might want to go look up eBay vs Newmark.

You posted in this topic to pick a fight. Don't tell me that arguing isn't worth your time - I'm not buying it. What you really mean is that sticking with a losing argument isn't worth your time.

And I recommend you take your own advice, read whatever part of eBay vs Newmark you think is a smoking gun and whichever statement you think it contradicts until you comprehend the difference in meaning. Or if you post it here, I can help explain it to you.

I never said they did, don't try that strawman bulls*** with me. Logical fallacies only work on people equally as ignorant. And for the record, I own my own business, I evaluate myself. I'm not some pathetic corporate shill.

Loot boxes and gacha FTP bulls*** need to DIE. They need to die a horrible, flaming, godawful agonizing death accompanied by the shrieking howls of the damned and the blood of the wicked.

When you BUY a game, it should come with everything in it without needing to gamble for a CHANCE of getting what you want or need. And if you FTP a game, it shouldn't have that as an excuse to basically be a casino and force you to plug hundreds of dollars into the game to be able to progress.

If I wanted to GAMBLE then I'd have just gone to vegas. I don't want a gamble, I want a game.
