Is there any way to tell a game is Steam Workshop before I buy?

I have not used Steam in years. I just got a Surface Book 2, and I am seeing what games it can run lightly modded. I am new to Steam since it has been at least 5 years since I last used it.

https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/

Go there and look for the game in question? If it's not there, then it probably doesn't have support.

Alternately, it SHOULD show up on the steam store page like so:

Right side of the games store page, though some games do not list it:

Also, a few more clicks, but you can go to a games discussion page and look to see if it has "Workshop" listed in the tabs at the top.
