The next big seasonal sale will probably be the Autumn sale. Last year it was in November.

You can get the same sale prices year round, just keep an eye on all the other sites as they have sales all the time.

We just had the Steam Summer Sale, next one won't be for another couple of months at least.

TL;DR at bottom.

Historically Steam only does a few major sales every year: Summer (usually timed to end around the 4th of July), and Winter (usually timed to start at Christmas/end just after New Years)

They also do a "Fall" sale but it's really more of a prelude to the Winter/Christmas sale and held to take advantage of the Black Friday shopping mentality. Pretty much anything you see on sale during the Fall sale will be back at the same discount for the Winter Sale.

They've toyed with a Spring sale (which hasn't really caught on but was timed to coincide with Easter) and this year was the first time I could remember them doing a "Lunar New Year sale". I don't know how well that did though.

Lastly, they do a Halloween sale every year (ending just a day or two after Halloween) but those are almost exclusively horror themed games.

So judging from that schedule, the next major sale would be the Halloween Sale in late October, but they could do a short Labor Day sale or just a midweek sale for the hell of it any time they wanted.

If you're looking for something in particular to go on sale you're probably best off if you use something like cheapshark or to find/notify you about any deals. I use because I can link it to my steam profile and anything I add to my wishlist gets tracked automatically, and also because it includes other sources than just steam (including the bundle sites) AND I can specify all sorts of conditions for it to notify me so that I don't get an email going "Great news! That $60 game you want is now 5% off!".

tl;dr Probably in October for Halloween.
