this guy has a bunch of games running on the swift 3 with the 2700u so you know what sort of graphics to expect. You can get more performance for $1000 if you buy a older bulky hot gaming laptop like the one in your OP. But if you want something, small, sleek, and that runs cool for $1000, then this is your best bet.

and a laptop with a GTX 1050, like in the OP, you'll get a lot better gaming performance (you'll be able to run any new game pretty nicely), but again you'll be compromising on size, weight, battery life, etc.

Depends on what you're looking for in a laptop. The Swift 3 will run the games you mentioned great, but you'll probably have to crank the settings to lowest for any new games.

Thanks. The thing is I don’t need to run any new games on it cause I won’t be buying anymore games for PC (unless maybe duke Nukem 3D or doom which I’m sure don’t need a lot to run these days) but I might get the gtx 1050 just in case. Thanks for your help so far.

You dont want a gaming laptop but post a gaming laptop...lol
I mean yeah if its in your budget go for it.
it will run newer games as well.
