The only pet peeve I have with PC is the constant influx of people coming in here to say "Consoles are better". Who gives a f***? Go play your console and shut the f*** up then.

In the old days consoles had a special niche. PC games and console games were different and had different target demographics. As time went on consoles started making themselves more and more like PC and with that came all the problems they claimed they didn't like about PC. I'm sure there are still games you can just pop in and play, but either those games are so old that you've already patched the crap out of them or they're so indie that nobody cared to patch it in the first place.

But really, who gives a f***? The vast majority of the games I play on PC are download and play, no tweaks or anything required, but then again I'm not trying to run a brand new AAA game on a easy bake oven. Even some of the games that a lot of people complained about being buggy or bad ports I had very few problems with (maybe I didn't play it long enough to see the bad parts or maybe I got lucky?) OR maybe the problem was well known and I was able to fix it in less than 5 minutes with a simple file or .ini tweak.

most people don't give a s***. They just want it simple/no fuss and to relax especially after a hard day

Yeah, I don't give a s*** either. I don't have to come home to a PC and then spend 4 hours trying to get a game running right unless I'm trying to do something extremely out of the ordinary for the game in question.

Like to play Elite Dangerous in VR it takes a little more preparation since I have to get situated with VR, have the keyboard and mouse moved to where the VR is, and I run an extra program in the background to take voice commands. Consoles wouldn't have to do any of that to play Elite dangerous, but they're not playing in VR with voice commands either. In fact, they CAN'T do it. It must be nice for things to be so simple as long as you don't want to do anything that the game makers intended for you to do.

But whatever. I don't care if you prefer consoles. Just don't waste your time coming to a forum for PC players to say it. You'd get a similar reaction if I went to the console boards and told them how much I enjoyed being able to mod my games and play them in VR even when the game wasn't specifically made with VR in mind. They'd be mad that I was in there talking about a system that they don't give a f*** about. What a shocker eh?

I remember popping a new game in my 360 and you were ready to game but on PC I feel like a lot of games even high budget ones you don’t really get a chance to get excited until after you fire it up and make sure everything is running right... cannot tell you how many times I’ll start a game and they’re wa stuttering or something odd like locking the game at 30fps then you’ll usually find a solution via google but it’s never any less disheartening when you have to close the game out to apply the fixes.

I guess you forgot about all the stuttering and framedrops below 30 that your 360 suffered from.. Gta V anyone? Not to mention the screen tearing with no v sync option in many games. You really have no cause to complain.

I suppose i'm just a rare breed of gamer who cares about the games more then the hardware. Most of us just play games for entertainment and fun, so I don't really care how they do it. If they can get that entertainment playing on consoles then good for them, if they use a PC good for them as well.

I don't own any consoles aside from a 3DS. Its a 240p screen with dated hardware. Do I care? No because the games are fun.

For every person that comes to this board praising consoles, there's always gonna be one of those "PC Master Race" children, so its not like the issue is exclusive to consoles. Don't forget that it goes both ways.

it goes both ways.

As long as we're reciting platitudes, two wrongs don't make a right either. What goes around comes around.

Also, it takes two to tango and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

But time heals all wounds, forgive and forget. Follow your bliss. It's all good. Remember, we're all in this together. There is no I in team.

Now get out there and win one for the Gipper! 😤📣
