She's not too much of a gamer but she's slowly getting into the hobby. She has a MacBook Pro from 2011/2012 that can run most 2D/Indie titles.

What are some fun online multiplayer games we can play together, that are good for casual gamers?

Are the skylander games available on pc? My gf really enjoyed playing that with me. She also loved the crash bandicoot remaster.

Now that I'm thinking about it, these games aren't really low spec though. But if you have a ps4 I would definitely say pick em up

Don't Starve Together* - survival, crafting

PixelJunk Monsters* - tower defense

Stardew Valley* - people call it a 2D Harvest Moon. Online multiplayer is coming out this month.

Castle Crashers* - beat 'em up

Battle Block Theater* - platformer

Left 4 Dead 2*

Metal Slug games - they're hard though lol

Diablo 3*

Orcs Must Die 2 - tower defense. There's a demo you guys can try out

Portal 2*

I think all of them should work with those specs. Also keep in mine a few on the list are Windows only. I put an * next to the name that has a Mac OSX version. Do you know if she'll be running Windows through Bootcamp? That would bring up more options.

If you like platformers, Rayman Origions or Legends is great. I presonally prefer Origins.
