Hi everyone I am able to grab the newest Star wars Battlefront game for about 40 bucks. My only worries are if the game is plagued with bugs and is worth purchasing or not. I don't even know if it is still active on the PC as the board is dead here so figured I would come here and ask for opinions from anyone who might have played it.

Not really any bugs to speak of but not sure how active the game is on PC. You can try it out on Origin Access before buying

Think the majority of complaints was the p2w aspect of it.

I play it every other day or so and don't have any problems finding games. The only bug I've encountered is a sound glitch where the sound goes out close to the end of the match, saw that it's kinda common, but I think it only on 1 map.

I had MAJOR problems getting this to run on an AMD card. I had to roll back my driver set to something from like November I think. Otherwise the game would just crash straight to the desktop whenever a StarFighter map loaded. I’ve yet to roll my drivers forward to see if they’ve corrected the problem. Some people do end up having major issues with this game and at this point it looks like those specific issues aren’t ever getting fixed. You can browse the official technical reports forum to see them all.

So if you buy this game, Play it immediately! If you have a technical issue then request a refund right then. Don’t hold on to the game hoping it will get fixed, because it won’t.

Which always surprises me given the fact that both the PS4/XB1 are running on AMD hardware (GPU AND CPU), I guess it's more an indictment of the quality of their drivers on PC.

Been playing it since launch and still playing it -- despite the massive teething issues at launch, it's a really good multiplayer game (with a half-decent but very short campaign).

Not gonna lie though, game can be buggy -- they tend to break at least something every patch. Last patch one of Darth Maul's abilities outright stopped working and now this patch, a specialist skill (Infiltration) no longer shows enemies on the radar like it's supposed to.

The game also has a tendency to hammer the CPU (6700k) at times which would ocassionally cause stutter for me in the cutscenes (even used to do it in-game but seems to have been fixed) and EA's servers are not great, it's almost never unplayable but a lag-spike here and there is quite common.

If you have the specs and are a Star Wars fan, it's definitely worth it IMO. But like an above poster said, give it a stress test if you pick it up and make sure it runs fine for you -- the game's performance can be really inconsistent across different specs.

The consoles are easier to work with, everyone has the same build.
