Minor rant here. F*** you Microsoft and your s***ty practices hamstringing my control over my device drivers. Windows 10 is refusing to allow me to manually update the driver of my new Wireless adapter no matter what angle I seem to attack the issue from and I'm starting to lose my mind. The driver it comes boxed with is out of date and despite my having downloaded the new hotness, Win10 seems to think everything is fine and dandy as is despite it running an out of date driver that causes my device to completely under perform.

"The best drivers for your device are already installed"

Like hell they are you over-reaching, piece of s***, malware of an OS.

Can't uninstall the network driver and install the new one before Windows does?

I've had Windows 10 since the end of 2016, and I NEVER have any of these problems.
WTH do these people do to their computers?

Attempted to do this multiple times, both in safe mode and otherwise. No joy.Born Lucky posted...

Usually I just stick my tongue to the CPU and that fixes it. GTFO with your semantic "never has issues, therefore there must be nothing wrong with the OS and its asinine forced lack of control" attitude.

This once happened to my GPU drivers, actually that was a common issue for a while. Windows was just randomly over-writing my Nvidia drivers to install some garbage old version of their generic drivers.

its clearly not normal behavior.

sounds like something is corrupt in the install or maybe its flagging the drivers as malware/virus?
or an unsigned driver?

Semantic attitude? What does that even mean?

Just more b****ing about an OS that is superior to all previous versions.
