Apparently this poster has been spot on with previous "inside sources" so take that for what you will.
If true expect a year of exclusivity to PS4 similar to how Crash in being handled before being released on pc

People really need to stop abusing the term "remaster."

These are remastered graphics:

Maybe we need to have a term to describe games that are graphically remade but play mostly the same as the original, but "remaster" isn't the right term for this.

Like I give a s*** about the difference between remaster and remake. This topic is about the original Spyro games coming to pc and looking awesome, not splitting hairs over technicalities that no one cares about.

it's not even splitting hairs, it's a completely different process as to how a video game is made from start to finish, and clearly everyone cares about it because every response to your topic thus far including your own has been how you're incorrect.

Knowing the difference informs the reader exactly how much "awesome" to expect.

Remaster: Taking a game and simply porting it to more powerful hardware with improved visuals. Very little if any changes are made to the gameplay. Skyrim: Special Edition and the DMC HD Collection are examples of this.

Remake: Building the entire game up from the ground of with entirely new code and assets. For all intends and purposes it's an entirely new game. Many remakes add additional content or mechanics. Crash: The N'Sane Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank on PS4, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap are some examples of remakes.

The Kingdom Hearts HD remasters are an odd case of this line being blurred, as they were actually made from the ground up despite appearing to simply being HD versions of the originals. This because SE lost the original code and assets.

Maybe don't use Halo as an example, considering it's just new graphics on top of the existing models. Like how FFX did it.
