the one on the clocks are roman numerals,

They're wrong roman numerals that's my point. Why does the clock list four as IIII instead of what it should be, five minus 1 depicted as IV...but at the same time they list nine correctly as ten minus one, aka IX, instead of VIIII

If your referring to the one image from earlier then yeah thats totally wrong thats either made bad or some photoshop because my clock has the right thing with IV listed properly as the 4.

That's not a photoshop image. Many old clocks listed 4 as IIII instead of IV.

I don't know the reason for this, but I've seen MANY old clocks like this. By old, I mean pre-1940.

Example, this one is even on sale here in Brazil:

If it was exclusive then why is the Steam option available?

Because OP is wrong.

Did you write IIII? How old are you? It's IV.

TC is from this era, apparently:

(Incidentally, am I the only one who hates using roman numerals? I CAN "read" them fine, but I don't understand WHY people use them in this day and age.)

But the games art has the IIII on it not Roman numbers.

Holy ****. As I usually do before comment, I like to see how much BS there is in a persons statement before commenting and sometimes I find out there isn't any, as is the case here.

This is interesting and helps give context:

I think this is the most interesting explanation I've heard with the clocks (from the above page)

"The reason is quite simple to all you brainiacs out there that can't figure it out it divides the clock face evenly three ways first four numbers are all in I next four numbers use the V the last four numbers use the X"

Romans apparently did write IV as IIII; and IV is only an 18 century clockmaker thing.

I simply didn't know! Interesting set of facts though. I'll be damned!

Who knows if COD5 will be V or IIII with a strike through now? Stay tuned for the next installment from COD to find out (I probably won't, I only came into this thread because of the clocks)

IIII isn't wrong. It's just usually only written on clocks.
Don't play dumb with me, you're not as good at it as I am.
@MoistenedYouth did a drawing of me, too!
