https://www.dsogaming.com/news/final-fantasy-xv-has-been-cracked-four-days-prior-to-its-official-release/

Chinese group 3DM has used Final Fantasy XV’s demo executable file, a file that does not contain the Denuvo anti-tamper tech, in order to crack the game. This, however, would not be possible if it wasn’t for Origin. Unlike Steam, Origin made available for pre-load an unencrypted version of the whole game. 3DM got that unencrypted version and cracked the game via the demo file.

Steam and WIndows Store was protected 100%, and then there's EA Origin.

The part that matters to me is a performance comparison with and without Denuvo.

Looking forward to it.

It won't make a difference and Radeon users will get performance hit unless AMD releases good drivers and Nvidia settings have to be turned off.

its been shown to make a difference in the past in several games.

The benchmark was getting around ten fps with my 1950x and 1080ti, the demo ran great though even with all the Nvidia options on.

It sometimes seems like amd CPUs also set the bad performance flags.

Wouldn't surprise me if Squenix hits EA with a lawsuit over this one.

Not saying they'll win, but feel like they'll try.

If nothing else maybe Square-Enix will reconsider allowing pre-orders/pre-loads of their games on Origin ever again.

EA really f***ed up big time.

I am quite surprised too. Could this be the counterattack I have been waiting for?!
