Video games weren't meant to be played online and anonymously.

You want to face me, you need to be standing here in front of me, looking me in the eye like a man.

I get a lot less hate mail on pc haha.

Because you can't send messages on steam, if the player is not in your friendlist.

If you allow it, they can post on your profile. Bleu_Skie posted...
I had someone talk s*** on one of my screenshots once

Yeah, that too...Screenshots, reviews, anything that is public...

And then if you fight both of you go to jail.

just as many cheaters on the consoles as their are on the PC.. only difference is if you get banned on Console, you're getting a new system and new account to actually go play again.

this reminds me of the late 80's, playing games at the China Dragon, the chinese food store near my house..

They had Street Fighter, some shifty dude used to hang around smoking stuff all day playing street fighter, if you wanted to play you had to beat him.. nobody beat him, and if they did, he beat them IRL.. So nobody really played..

They also used to have the old WWE game, he never touched that one, just the original street fighter game..

remember he broke this guys nose for beating him with Ryu or something..

I remember back in the Dreamcast days being accused of cheating because I used keyboard and mouse on Quake III Arena while everyone else was flopping around with controller.

To be fair, controllers are a drastically improved from the DC controller. Hell, that thing didn't even have 2 analog sticks, which made it useless for almost everything 3D.

And yet a medium skilled keyboard user will beat a similarly skilled controller user more times than not.

Console users cheat all the time, I encountered WAY more cheaters on CoD and Dark Souls on the 360 than I ever have on PC. Honestly, I see a legit cheater like once every few hundred games when playing online in pretty much any PC game.

People always throw out the "AIM BOTTER" insult anytime someone beats them, but it's pretty obvious when facing someone who is actually cheating that the other people were just good shots but not "hackers"

That’s on 360 tho when the console was able to he hacked and modded and those consoles that were jtagged get so banned quickly also next gen you can’t cheat so far

My point was that it wasn't cheating if I had better tools than they had. It also wasn't like they couldn't go out and buy them themselves. It was the official Dreamcast keyboard and official Dreamcast mouse, not "crazy hack job I bought off of Ebay" or whatever

Considering that the Dreamcast version of Q3a didn't have any kind of aim assist at all, that's not really that surprising...also like he said, the dreamcast only had one analog stick.

I did find moderate success using the controller to move (with movement bound to the D pad) and the mouse to aim and shoot.

You were talking about how controllers have advanced since then. So I was saying that's irrelevent since it's still an inferior way to play competitively than a mouse and keyboard.
