Portal 2. If she likes platformers I think Shovel Knight has a co op mode now.

Basically common couch co-op games then. My personal favorites:

Battleblock Theater
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Human Fall Flat
Portal 2
Shovel Knight
Minecraft (can start a local server)
Don't Starve Together (may not appeal to everyone)

Some honorable mentions that may not appeal to a less actiony person:
Aragami (stealth gameplay if she digs that at all)
Dungeon Defenders (didn't float my boat, but may be your cup o' tea)
TF2 Mann Vs Machine and Left 4 Dead 2 (these two are FPS but I'd consider them "casual" horde based gameplay)
Borderlands series (a bit more involved)
Dying Light (really fun in my opinion, mostly melee based, but not at all casual)

For some competitive games:
Duck Game
Gang Beasts
Mount Your Friends
NNID: TheDunc | Steam: Sir Soyeldimzelf

You Don't Know Jack is still a fun trivia game, sometimes.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

It's an asymmetrical multiplayer game, where one person is at the computer, with a bomb that they must diffuse. The other player has a manual with instructions on how to disarm the various modules on the bomb. It's all about communication, since the players cannot see what each other has, and it is a lot of fun.

It really depends on why she doesn't like MMOs, but Dungeon Defenders is a position every co-op gamer should definitely try. It's basically tower defense meets combat rpg with a cute graphics style absolute metric ton of content, two tons of co-op potential and three tons of loot to get. It supports split screen as well as online gaming.

By now it should be dirt cheap, as it's not a new game.
You have absolutely no right to complain about a decision you decided to support with your money. Be smart and vote with your wallets!
