I've had it with Windows updates, how do I disable them?

Every. Single. Update. No matter how small, messes up my PC. It kills my graphics drivers causing me to get constant BSOD of CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED and I have to go through this entire process of booting in safe mode, deleting drivers, booting normally, and reinstalling them. It's an incredible pain in the ass considering how often this damn thing updates.

So, how do I disable the updates or at least make them so I decide when to update? Thanks.

Um... I think you have a bigger problem than updates.

Sucks to be you. I only ever had one minor issue with updates at Windows 10 launch and no issues at all since.

I've tried forcing it to power off when my only options are "Update and Shut Down" but it still manages to download it

Well, since it will work perfectly for however long between updates and then tank as soon as I update, whatever the issue is can be resolved by just not updating

Yea no problem man. Another option would be to just stick with consoles. It seems like it would fit you well.

Regedit should be the best option.
Can't remember the excat files right now, but I disabled automatic updates and notifications by deleting some files in regedit.
Why the hell do they force that annoying system restart message every time there's an update.
It's not the end of the world if you don't restart right away.

Look on Reddit it involves changing a files name, and doing it fast cause you have to do it within 1-2 second of ending a process.

It's hard to do but it can be done since I have done it and changed it back.
