I'm helping out a family; the mother managed to get her son a computer, but it can't run the basic games he wants to play without a GPU. He doesn't care about high resolutions or frame rates, he just hopes to run some older/indie/simple games like Minecraft or 7 Days to Die.

He has an HP Prodesk 600 G1.

If my research is right, the power supply and the fact that it's a low profile tower are going to be the issues. Power supply is 240W.

I want to get him one of these two GPUs, but I wanted to make sure they are compatible first. Anyone know?

I think those GPUs might actually be weaker than the IGP.
a quad core i7 was just a rebranded celeron -Pengu1n
Anything that has 3p fps or better is fine with me -mucloud
