We recently got this computer at work for some reason(bad order im guessing on a custom build).

Boss is going to let it go for $200, everything is brand new. Just wondering if it is a decent buy if I want to start learning how to build a decent gaming PC.

Edit: this is what I'm buying:

Whoever beats my score I will give them a $10 PSN or Live card:

Overpriced. I guess if it's brand new but I wouldn't buy that b/c a custom build with the same parts is far cheaper.

For $200 yes you can alway's upgrad to a FX 8320 or 8350 and a 1070 or Ti version later. Parts alone are over $200

I'm usually supportive of pre-builds, but all that for $345?

Pass. Its a waste of money even if you upgrade the components on your own.

Start a fresh build, go with the recent Ryzen 2200G build from Austin Evans.

He is getting it for $200 not the listed price.

Not worth it

FX 4300 is bare minimum for modern games and upgrading to the FX 8350 isn't good either. The PSU probably isn't enough for more than a 1050 anyway.

You'll end up with a PC in need of upgrading from the get go but will be without good upgrade options.

This

Since you have to upgrade to do anything with it you may as well just go get a fresh prebuilt.

It'd be fine for officework/web browsing. I wouldn't want to game on it though.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there
