I have nothing earth shattering to say or anything, just felt like saying somewhere how good I think this game is. The progression, the way the story is presented, and pretty much everything else. Just really, really enjoying this game. I was about 14 hours into the game last night and finally decided to try and get into the Aurora, and I was in that ship alone for close to 2 hours. Just really enjoying everything about this game.

I need to get back to it at some point. Have a friend playing it for real now that it's out and singing its praise.

I haven't played since getting a basic big sub and scanning a couple meaningless beacons was the best you could do after sealing off the radiation. Back when every 'scannable' object was a pure white box. And there was a deep dark hole with nothing in it.

I played it in VR for some time, maybe 10 hours. It is a nice seated experience. Should go back and see what's new.

Is it finished yet? Or feature complete at least? I enjoyed it a while back but it was definitely still in the 'working out the jank' stages. I had a lot of fun with everything that was working though, I think I got to the point where I was gathering mats for the Cyclops before I started running out of food and fish didn't respawn and you couldn't breed them yet either so I decided to wait til it was more finished. I saw there was a farming update so that would have helped with that problem.

Yeah, it's properly released with a story, progression and the works, far as I know.

Nice, I'll have to give it another go then. Does the game have a set ending? Or can you do the story and then just keep building? Or a sandbox survival mode would be fine too.

I heard there was a Nazi who worked on it. Isn't Subnautica an alt-right game, then?
CIA: You're a big guy.
Bane: For you.
Held off because of Early Access crafting/survival game fad, and finally played it when it released. Definitely a hidden gem of a game, and I don't know if it's because of marketing or an unspoken "rule" of players not to spoil all the crazy s*** that happens.

It's much more than what the game lets on via screenshots/videos.
