Dice's games have been running much better on Win8 and later since Battlefield 4. Win7 is hampered by just using DX11.0 whereas Win10 uses at least DX11.1

I figured it was the DX but never actually looked into the benchmark differences. Amazing!

So according to that its a pretty small hit and on AMD it seems non existant.

Yeah, I get on average 90 FPS in BF1 and 'Front 2 running Windows 10 with the settings cranked up at 1440p.

What GPU you got? Got a 1080 (non Ti) myself. Great for 1440p gaming.

In human terms, any difference on the systems/games that I've seen seems pretty much unnoticeable, which is fantastic. But sadly it's likely that more runtime/resources will need to be used in future patches, when Intel and whoever have more idea of what other (possibly more subtle) attacks might be possible.
I'm a PC and console gamer - I love good games, regardless of their host system.

The doom and gloom might have been an intel device to try and sell 8th gen CPUs! ;-)

Pretty much all we know for sure right now.

Lol, AMD is still behind, even without the Ryzen being patched.

Well, the last BIOS update for my board was released in 2014, and last time I checked they hadn't released a new one, so I'm not updated at the BIOS level, but I haven't seen any noticeable performance drop in any of the games I play (a fairly wide variety) on the old 2600K (stock speeds) in my sig. from the Windows patch alone.
