@pulepticon Unfortunately it looks like your CPU is below the listed minimum spec of an i5-6600k, you have an i5-6500k. Perhaps the steps below will help you to get the game running below minimum, but there are no guarantees.

^Urgh, this s*** drives me nuts and makes me want to drive to EA_David's house and punch him in the face. I came across this response while searching for TC's problem. These EA morons can't solve any problem that can't be fixed by rebooting, so they completely just dismiss any compliant if the hardware doesn't perfectly match the recommended specs. I'd be surprised if EA doesn't just change all their recommended specs to "i7 8700K, GTX 1080TI" then that way nothing is ever their fault. I mean, this response is so laughable that I'm thinking of printing it out, framing it, and hanging it on the wall.

Playing BF1 on all Low settings and I'm getting dips in the 20's frequently. It's very bad right now.

6gb GTX 1060
i5 2500k
8gb ram
SSD
Win 10 64 bit

Can't understand why I'm stuck on Low everything while still getting terrible fps. Playing at 1440p.

Its your CPU dude and that meltdown thing that effects low end CPU's which is what you have.

Just screenshot your CPU usage from the task manager while you're playing, I want to see the result.

Reduce resolution scaling to 70% and try again.
And like others said, there's a CPU crisis going on and new copies of Windows will probably have the security updates on them - which gimp the CPU. A stupid and unwelcome patch if you ask me.

BF1 is what now?

Battlefield 1.

Thanks.
The minimum recommended pc for that is
Minimum Requirements:
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
Processor (AMD): AMD FX-6350
Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 50GB

Recommended Requirements:
OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
Processor (AMD): AMD FX 8350 Wraith
Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 4790 or equivalent
Memory: 16GB RAM
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ RX 480 4GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB
DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 50GB

I would think the minimum is for running at 720p or lower. I'm not sure why anyone would think that it would run full speed at an ultra wide screen and 1440p.

Requirements are extremly suspect in general, especially for the cpu. They range from kinda close to nowhere close. For example, the reccomended amd cpu is an 8350. The 2500k is better than that in almost every way. Significantly better.

So take posted requirements with a grain of salt.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

Actually that's what you need for the best experience with Assasins Creed Origins. Its one of the most demanding games out there because of the stupid DRM. Thankfully for me I prefer to get those games on PS4 instead for the trophies. Ya ya I know 30fps, but I doubt I could get a consistant 60fps on PC anyways.

TC, I played the beta at mostly max settings with a 2500k and 970 at 1440p and it ran beautifully. They probably didn't test the game in the most extreme scenarios though.
