Playing BF1 on all Low settings and I'm getting dips in the 20's frequently. It's very bad right now.

6gb GTX 1060
i5 2500k
8gb ram
SSD
Win 10 64 bit

Can't understand why I'm stuck on Low everything while still getting terrible fps. Playing at 1440p.

I blame the cpu and ram, the game does hover over 8GB RAM at times

The system requirements are bogus though they recommend Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K as the absolute minimum CPU which is a joke.

Lol a 2500k was good like 5+ years ago right? Back when people were getting AMD 7850's?

Also 8gb RAM imo is bare minimum nowadays. Kinda bare bones.

Ok, understandable. But I never had issues at launch, only having these issues since getting the DLC, and I haven't played in a while so I imagine some patches changed things but again this is a drastic difference.

I see an explosion and my frame rate drops into the 20's.... Never had these issues before.

Also the 1060 isn't a 1440p gpu right? Especially with the rest of your build, why aren't you at 1080p?

Imo 1440p starts with an i7+1070 combo.

OK, it's something about the way Dice is programming things. I had extreme issues with Battlefront II and while researching that I came across similar problems occurring in Battlefield 1. Things like crashes, 100% CPU usage, etc. Now, I'm on AMD and the solution in my case was to roll the drivers back like 3 updates. It makes me want to strangle someone but it's the only option. Nvidia users were having similar problems but I'm not sure what they were doing for a fix.

My advice is to go to either the Dice technical issues forum, or to the Battlefield 1 Reddit. That's where people having similar issues will gravitate to.
