So noticed in last 30 hour that my PC keeps making a whirring sound but don't know where it's coming from. PC is running fine. What component causes that in majority of cases? Sign that something about to go kaput?

You'd have to post a video demonstrating this noise. It could be some noise that has always happened and you just never noticed it. It could be one of your fans is louder than usual because it's dusty and your PC doesn't get rid of heat as well when it's dusty. It could be a fan is about to die and making more noise because of bad bearings or whatever. It could be something is hitting one of your fans causing it to make more noise than usual. It could be a small rodent making a nest in there. It could be your hard drive about to die.

I'll make a video. It's definitely not something that's always been there. It's a high pitched whirring noise that happens for couple of seconds or so, then stops, then starts, stops etc.

You can really hear at beginning in first 25 seconds. Then it calms down and can hear it again at 1:05 and onwards.

I could just barely hear what you were talking about... sounds kinda like a whine when the fan hits a certain RPM. I used to have a video card that whined like mad at 50% power (which was the default) but if I gave it just 5% more or 5% less, the sound totally went away.

That was what I wound up doing until I sold the card off to a friend (and I told him about the whine before he bought it). Maybe see if you can induce the sound by changing the fan speed in some kind of program like Precision X or MSI Afterburner (if it's the GPU).

Fans just wear out. I had to replace the front panel fan in my case because it died while the other 2 are still fine.

Its either coil whine, case fans , CPU fan, PSU fan or GPU fans

I would clean all your fans good first and check to be sure no cables are near the fans.

Could be a bad bearing in one of the fans best thing i can suggest is just put your ear close to each fan and see if it gets louder.
