Eh... I know if you have the Rocksmith Tone cable it basically works as a mic and you can use any PC recording program you like to record that.

What hardware do you have? Most interfaces come with software licenses.

I second REAPER, it's simply unbeatable for the price.

You are going to need a hardware interface. This can be as simple as a tiny little inline box with a 1/4" in and USB out or it can get really expensive for true recording interfaces. As noted some hardware comes with software, but a lot of it is limited functionality versions that are mainly there to tempt you into upgrading. Reaper is where it's at.
