Resident Evil 7

It's actually why RE7 is a fantastic game. The RE series has been dying because of trash like RE6 and RER2, so the change to a much less action-y and more exploration-focused game was necessary

When people complain that game is only on uplay/origin/battle.net/windows store/etc and not on steam and thus refuses to buy/play it.

That's a legitimate reason. Especially Windows Store and Uplay, which have a terrible interface and servers that never work. Even Origin's interface is a pain in the butt compared to Steam's.

Agreed, uplay is trash and the less digital stores you have to use, the better.

Disliking the art style of a game isn't "weird". Masterpieces like Final Fantasy IX, Psychonauts, Beyond Good & Evil, etc. sold much worse than they should because of this. But this is human nature. One doesn't eat Sushi, Sashimi, etc. if one doesn't like eating fish.
Same goes for ugly "voice-overs" like Okami has. Some people can't stand that gibberish crap.

A weird one?
A friend of me and many people on the Internet didn't buy the game Tyranny because it's "too short".
It's an RPG with 35~40h playtime, which should enough in my eyes. But the flaw in the "too short" logic is that the game is heavily trimmed towards replayability which provides vastly different outcomes, quests, areas to visit, a.s.o.
So you have like 2~4 x 35 hours to play, which is more than enough.

God damn dont remind me of this s***,everyone b****ed so much about his hair when that first CGI trailer was shown off,of course now people try to backpedal and say "it was never about the hair" even though....it was. What a time that was.

...Except that was a very small minority. Vastly more people took offense with the piece of s*** creative director injecting himself as Dante. These people were further vindicated by the lackluster (to put it mildly) direction that they game was taken, in nearly every facet.

People saying they didn’t like Arkham Asylum because Detective Mode made it too easy. Here’s a hint genius, turn it off then.

I’m never going to agree with a complaint that can be easily solved by the player.

"30 FPS = no buy"

Many said that for Gravity Rush 2 and l still laugh at them for missing out one of the reasons to own a PS4.

I get the complaints when it's a PC port locked at 30 because we probably have the hardware to push the frame rate but on console exclusives that's just nonsense.

I think the issue comes from playing at 60fps with the remaster and then going to 30fps with the sequel. This is why I got Shadow Warrior 2 on PC instead of PS4. Even though I have the first one on PS4. Still Gravity Rush doesn't seem to be a game where 60fps is a necessity like fighters.

I've also heard someone saying they disliked Dark Souls because it's just hard to be hard

This honestly is my main complaint about the game, it's a game that could have an easier mode but just refuses to have one. This leaves out a portion of casual gamers like myself usually, that just want to experience the game without the added challenge.

Not everything needs to cater to every possible user. Dark Souls selling point is the challenge, those who don't fit that profile need to take it as a clue that it's not intended for them.

It isn't the challenge for me that draws me in (Not that it's hard anyway if you take your time and stop running until you know enemy placement, some bosses can be tricky but gamers forget bosses were always meant to be hard, they're bosses), it's the atmosphere, visuals, and that feeling of lonelyness everytime you enter a new area you've never seen before.
Idiots voting for idiots.

While generally I’m a fan of more options (like difficulty selection) I think Souls games are one of those games where they shouldn’t be included. Part of the whole design philosophy of those games is to punish you severely for making mistakes, thus increasing the satisfaction you feel when you succeed. To take that away is to essentially not be playing a Souls game they way the developers intended it to be played.
