Can't decide between 4k or 1080p with an absurd framerate. 1ms refresh rate is required.

Found 2 examples of each that seem well-liked, but I am open to suggestions.

4K:

- Asus VP28UQG
https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VP28UQG/

- Acer CB281HK
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/professional-model/UM.PB1EE.001

1080p144hz:
- Asus VG248QE
https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VG248QE/

- BenQ XL2411Z
http://www.benq.us/product/monitor/XL2411Z/

Seems like BenQ XL2411Z is the ideal, but I may want to try out 4k. What say you?

16:9 is a peasant aspect ratio, 1080p or 4K.
3440x1440 21:9 or go home.

No way I have desk space for that.

Don't get the VG248QE, it's one of the oldest 144hz monitors from like 2013. It's just mentioned often because people don't know better but nowadays there are newer and better like the ViewSonic XG2402 or Samsung CFG73.

It is a 1080, so I guess that is ok. Would a 1080ti be more ideal?

Another one for consideration:
- ViewSonic® XG2401
https://www.viewsonic.com/us/xg2401-2.html

2402 is sold out everywhere

what is the monitor for? if you want to excel competitively go for higher framerate . if you want to push out prettier graphics go for higher resolution

for me 1440 75hz is the sweet spot of both

Do you want higher resolutions or higher framerates?

Do you want higher resolutions or higher framerates?

I prefer clarity ease of use. Resolution doesn't matter much to me as long as it is enough I be clear and crisp.

I do often go to lower resolutions / specs on games to go with higher framerate.

I also turn off most post processing effects as those hurt my eyes and give me headaches (motion blur and the one that makes everything in the background fuzzy is the worst).
