Money talks and I'm sure a lot of you didn't pick up the 1080s

I'm doing well enough that if I needed to buy a 1080Ti right now I could do it.. (I already have one though).

I don't plan on spending more money on upgrades until the next Ti rolls around (1180Ti?)

Meh, the only game I know of anywhere in the near future that'd be worth an upgrade is Cyberpunk 2077. Pretty sure I can save enough before 2020...

The Star Citizen SP game might be worth it too, but I'm still not planning an upgrade for at least another year or two, and I'm only using a GTX 970.

Mainly just waiting to see what happens in the monitor world before I build another PC. Definitely want a nice quality 4K monitor with G-sync/Freesync and HDR and all the buzz words lol, but not willing to fork out current prices.

My 970 is fine for every game I've thrown at it. Not sure what I'll do if prices don't drop. Console gaming I guess but that cuts out most of the games I'd play as their libraries are mostly s***.

I have a 980 TI which i have had since October of 2015. I upgrade my GPU every 3-4 years. Don't plan on upgrading till the 1180 TI which probably wont be out for another year or so.

I'll have to see what GPU prices are in a year. I would think and hope they would be back to normal by then. If not I'll ride it out with my 980 TI a bit longer and see where it goes and just hope to be fast on getting one some where at a reasonable price.

I'm thinking the same.

The reality is games eventually need a better card.

I remember I had to get a 9600gt then 280 then the 660 then the 970 then the 1060.... Now I know I'm not one to wait but are many of you going to lower the settings or will you guys bite the bullet and pay the inflation

That's the thing, though.....You don't need to actually "pay the inflation" as much as people think. That sentiment is BS.

Yes, because I don't need my rig to be cutting edge every year and my current setup can run most games on thier highest settings already.
