Have both, and they're both great. Freesync is more adopted by manufacturers and soon by the big TV makers as well. AMD s*** the bed on worthy high end GPU though. Gsync is very good but I hate the price premium and it's not worth that extra money.

Is there a g-sync 21:9 1440p (or more) monitor available anywhere?

Plenty. I think the AOC AGON is the cheapest one, it's about $800.

What's that got to do with zero tearing solutions?

Overrated.

I play a lot of SLI supported games so I usually leave it off because g-sync seems to f*** with the SLI scaling for me. Whenever I go single card and put g-sync on I don't notice a difference.

Completely worth it, makes my poor man setup play surprisingly smooth. Before freesync, gaming was kinda jarring because of stutters in a lot of games (

I just got my G-Sync Monitor today and it's incredible. 27" 1440p 144hz for $460 on Amazon.
It took me like 5 minutes to calibrate it using some setting I found on a forum, but it has removed screen tearing in my games and everything just looks so crisp and smooth.
