Assuming a good PC...Do you buy games for consoles when there is a PC version?

Assuming you have a higher than console quality PC, do you ever buy games for consoles instead of on your PC? If so, why?

I personally only own games for consoles that are exclusive, or were exclusive at one time, like Dark Souls, or Resident Evil Remake. If I'm aware of a PC version in the works, or even suspect one, I'll wait for it.
With deeper knowledge and experience, everything becomes more shallow.

I don't even care for consoles anymore, to be honest. Not even the exclusives this gen are worth it.

The Switch is an exception however, because it's portability pleases me.

I've been primarily a PC gamer since 1990, so I always find it hard to accept the annoyances of consoles. Stopped getting consoles at all since the PS3/360 (except for handhelds. I like them still).
Harvest Moon on Steam? Really?
May not be a "real" HM, but it does look fun.

Just a matter of personal preference for me.

I bought Tekken 7 on PS4 rather than PC. I'd rather play with controller and have proper button prompts. (Also the bonuses on PS4 didn't hurt. Plus I've always played on PlayStation)

I hate playing on PC (with controller) and having Xbox prompts whilst using my Dualshock 4 controller. Game may not have a mod to bring in Dualshock prompts. I'd consider it though if it does have prompts, even if by modding, doesn't matter to me.

Most cases it's kinda whatever but something like a fighting game where I'll be trying to learn combos, having to try and translate the combo string is something I'd rather avoid.

Most games, if there's a PC version I'll probably get it like I got Tomb Raider (2013)/Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC. I was really fascinated by the TressFX or whatever the hair thing was called. I usually focus on the environment in a game but I was looking at Lara's hair alot for awhile because I thought it was just so neat how each individual strand of her hair was rendered separate so it was quite realistic compared to usual. Looking forward to the similar feature in The Witcher 3 when I get around to playing it.

Would be nice if could get discount though (There isn't one, is there? Haven't pre-ordered a steam game in years.) like Amazon Prime. I like the discount alongside also using amazon credit if I have any. I could still do (credit) by buying a steam gift card I guess. Did that awhile back to buy a game on sale with my amazon credit.

I have never bought a console game that was also on PC besides Morrowind on Xbox, and that was because my PC at the time wasn't good enough to play it.

I haven't bought a console (other than a handheld) since the PS2...but really the only thing I cared about on the PS2 were games that weren't available on PC anyway. If I had a console today I probably still would play PC more.

If I had friends that had time to hang out regularly and play games, I might spend more time on consoles, but since most of my friends are either hundreds of miles away or busy with their own stuff almost always (the gaming get togethers are the exception not the rule) PC is easier.

Sold the PS4 last year. But before I did, if it was multiplat it was purchased on the pc. Just a pc guy nowadays, and really can’t say Im missing anything besides a couple exclusives.
I can be patient, but I'm not waiting!

I spread all my purchases out deliberately. That way if a system bites the dust(almost never happens), I have plenty to play still.

Now and again prices and release dates have an impact. Depends on my spending that month, or how much patience I have.
It's not about the hardware in your hands, it's the software in your hearts.
