This is actually really cool for the SFF PCs that will be using it. Intel already is gearing to ship a (extremely expensive) NUC with more power than a modern console, in a smaller form factor. Pricey, especially when you consider that it's not going to include RAM or a drive, but still, impressive nonetheless.
Seriously, you could get a PC that you can hold in one hand. Ultrabooks could ship with this s***. Hell, the next Macbook might have this kind of setup.

Seriously, look at the size of this thing. It's as big as a beefy router!

If Linus is blown away you know it's something really special.

That, or he has a hardcore SFF fetish.(which he does, hardcore)

IMO, laptops are pointless because they lack the power of a desktop, but don't have the full portability of a handheld gaming system. They're really just easily-movable desktops with a sacrifice in power.

Literally saying this when laptops have finally caught up in terms of power and are smaller/thinner than ever despite it. What a joke.

By the by, they're portable if they're "easily-movable" from place to place via carrying them with you without any hassle. Something doesn't have to be the size of a phone to be portable.

This is the guy who thinks his quad core i3 is on par with a 6 core/12 thread i7 after all.
