Just seen a new commercial about Verizon is working on a 5G Network.
Would you like to hear a tale, of a little girl name Kale?
She always wondered, whatever happened to Her tail?! *o*

They've been working on it for years IIRC. The only difference now that they'll be rolling it out this year.
What's wrong with the world these days is people don't have any common sense.

It's pretty bad when you have to get schooled on Net Neutrality by Burger King.

Also apparently Montana and New York are both putting forth legislation for Net Neutrality in their states. I can only hope that Texas does as well (though with our douchebag politicians it probably won't happen).

Now that New Jersey has a Democratic Governor, I expect Phil Murphy to follow through with it, as will Ralph Northam (Governor of Virginia).

It's even more sad when people have no idea what the laws actually are but ya know, who cares about facts when burger king makes a commercial?

We don't even have real 4G yet. Calling whatever they're putting out as 5G is the same as lowering the requirements of what it takes to constitute broadband and calling the same garbage service you already had broadband. Actually, that's literally what they did with 4G, though at least they appended "LTE" to the end to indicate it wasn't actually 4G.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

I'm just wondering how long before other companies start using it (beside Verizon)
and does that mean people will need to buy a (new) HotSpot that supports 5G? :\

5G seems pointless with data caps on most carriers and yes even the "unlimited" ones are still limited. You'll have faster speeds sure but you'll reach your data cap faster as well. 4G LTE honestly is all we need for our modern mobile needs. You still can't stream 4k content at all on most carrier networks they throttle it down to 720p or 1080p.
