Any idea what’s going on? Ever since one of those updates a few months ago my PC wakes itself up from sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night it will just turn itself back on.

Would Windows Defender doing some 2am scan turn it back on? It never has before. It’s so annoying.

My PC was doing this a while ago, but then it just stopped. Then i updated it the other night, and it's doing it again.

This was happening to me as well. Go into device manager and look for the mouse. Uncheck the box that allows the mouse to wake up pc. It fixed it for me.

It can be a 360 controller too. If used a lot the left or right analog sticks may not sit dead center anymore and can cause this if left plugged in as well.

I don't keep a controller plugged in. Honestly nothing ever bumps the desk, so if it's the mouse then it must be the logitech software waking it up or something.

My lan adapter started waking my computer from sleep for no reason a while back (on 7 though). Somebody gave me a handy command to run from the command prompt but I forget who it was. Basically just open the command line as administrator and enter powercfg -lastwake and it should tell you what caused it to wake up.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

My Smart TV kept waking mine up.
ARGH! Someone gave me some goggles and a spork,
I don't know what the goggles do but I'm gouging my eyes out with the spork!
