PS4 Remote Play from my PC was working fine until I installed the DS4 Windows tool (for using the DS4 controller on other games obviously), now PS4 Remote Play always crashes as soon as I plug my controller in. Best guess is it's due to a driver conflict between the PS4 Remote Play and what Windows 10 has from DS4 Windows.

I deleted DS4 Windows and reinstalled PS4 Remote Play. It still crashes. Also keep in mind it was only deleting DS4 Windows, as there was no uninstall option, so I'm assuming that driver is still lingering. How do I get rid of it?

There is no way to uninstall DS4 Driver right now.

What people have to do to erase it is do a system format and reinstall.

If I were on Windows 7, this would've blown half my day.

Thanks to Windows 10, it only took 10 minutes and carried all my other s*** over without having to bother with backups long install updates etc.

It was DS4 causing the issue. Works fine now.

tl;dr don't use DS4 Windows if you plan on doing PS4 Remote Play from that system. Also Windows 10 is boss.

Couldn't you just have rolled back the driver or just used a system restore?

don't use DS4 Windows

This is the real takeaway.

Hacks and mods are fun and all, but shady hacked device drivers aren't worth it.

DS4 windows was nice before good support was there for the DS4 controller. You guys are talking like it's motionjoy level or something.

Yes, if I could have gone an easier route, I would have.

I don't know what @Izicial is talking about. Most games don't recognize my DS4 at all. Kind of why I used the driver...

Well if you read the comment above your reply that would help.

And if none of your games recognized it then that's your problem not mine. Worked perfectly fine for me when DS4 controller came out and it still works perfectly fine.

Just because you don't know how to use it doesn't mean I'm an idiot.

I'm interested in that as well though I expect a snarky and annoying response from OP. Just seems to be the kind of person he is which is incredibly dumb when asking for help.

I didn't say all games. I said most. Some pick up DS4 because they're designed that way. Others are XB support only and hence DS4 tool let me use my DS4 in the XB support only games.

I'm not sure why you'd expect any sort of detailed reply on Remote Play when you take a statement of fact as an insult on your intellect -_- then go on to say you'd like more info but are now imposing negative traits on me as a defense mechanism for a perceived attack that wasn't there. I don't want to cause another trigger. Check my post history. I've commented on this before, the answer is in there somewhere, and since it wasn't directed at you, no danger.
