Cpu is semi important. An i5 is good enough. Most compiling uses your hard drive, and most development tools use s*** loads of ram.

Many thanks my dude. I was actually going the opposite direction before I read your comment (High-End CPU, Only enough RAM to power through Google Chrome). Good stuff.
